Purple Star Designation
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce announced that both Norwalk Catholic and St. Paul High School have earned the Purple Star designation as part of the Purple Star Class of 2024. The State renewed our designation and applauded our commitment to serving military-connected students and families. We originally were designated in 2021.
Ohio's strategic plan for education, Each Child, Ohio Future, recognizes the importance of supporting the needs of the whole child. To be successful in school and when transitioning between school settings, Ohio's military-connected youth require particular supports to ensure their unique social, emotional and academic needs are met. The Purple Star award signifies that our school demonstrated the commitment to serving these students and their families. Our Purple Star designation is valid for 3 years.
