Principal's Update:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Winter weather has certainly kept us all on our toes and, at times, shortened our school week. The loss of instructional time can present challenges for both students and teachers; however, I am confident that we will continue to make the most of each day and maximize the time we have together in our classrooms.
Next week marks our annual celebration of Catholic Schools Week. We have several special activities planned and invite you to review the attached schedule for daily themed dress days and events. Our celebration will begin on Sunday, January 25, and we warmly invite and encourage you to join us for the 5:00 PM Mass at St. Paul the Apostle or any Firelands Catholic parish. We hope to fill the pews with members of our Flyer Family as we begin this important week together. Our faith is at the heart of all that we do, and I look forward to celebrating Catholic education together as a community rooted in Christ.
The value of Catholic education is something my parents instilled in me at an early age. They made significant sacrifices so that my siblings and I could attend Catholic schools. Catholic education is a life-changing ministry—one that welcomes everyone to share their gifts and talents. I invite you to consider joining our ministry and encouraging others to do the same, not only in educating our youth but also in passing on our faith. Education is, at its core, a people-centered mission, and our children deserve to be surrounded by exceptional, faith-filled individuals. Together, we can continue to guide our students toward a deeper, personal relationship with Christ.
Great things are happening throughout our school community. Let us continue working together to share the good news of Norwalk Catholic and St. Paul High School and inspire others to join our Flyer Family.
Our week is off to a strong start, and I look forward to a successful finish. Please stay warm and safe.
Gratefully,
Mike Gocsik
Principal
