Director Update:
I pray everyone had a wonderful spring break. The weather did not quite cooperate but I hope you were able to make the most of the time off. In regards to our spring weather - students are allowed to wear shorts however please be sure to use your best judgement and watch the weather. It is typical that our mornings may be chilly and warm up throughout the day. Please dress your child appropriately.
We had a great opportunity this week to get our pre4 students excited about Moooving on to kindergarten during our Mooove Up Day! Pre4 attended mass, visited the classrooms, practiced going through the lunch line and went out for recess. Students in kindergarten had a great time talking about their day and the preschoolers were excited to get ready for next year.
We have quite a few students bringing toys and personal items to school. I, as a parent, know the struggles of getting out of the house some days. If you find yourself allowing your child to bring an item, please be sure to have them leave it in their backpack. We are not responsible for any items that may get left here or possibly broken. Thank you for your help!
Next week is kindergarten screening time! Informational papers about screening were sent home with your child. With the information was a parent survey that will need to be completed and turned back into the school before the screening. Kindergarten Screening will take place at the Early Childhood Campus, 77 State Street, Norwalk, OH 44857 on Thursday, April 10th and Friday, April 11th by appointment. If your child is in afternoon preschool class or in clubhouse on Thursday (4/10) afternoon you will not need to sign up; they will be screened during their class time. The Norwalk Police Department will once again be offering safety town to students entering kindergarten. Please see the information link below for more information.
***Just a reminder to preschool families. There is no Pre3 class on Thursday and no Pre3 and Pre4 class on Friday due to the screening.***
A letter was sent home regarding the Norwalk Catholic School and St. Paul High School participating in a Lenten project this year. We are participating in a snack drive to benefit the Cleveland Clinic and FTMC Cancer Centers. The Pre3-Pre4-Kindergarten classes are asked to donate tea bags/hot chocolate packets. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Summer Clubhouse (Childcare): Are you looking for childcare over the summer? Norwalk Catholic is excited to once again offer Summer Childcare. The program will be located at our Early Childhood campus (77 State Street).
