Director Update:
This week we had a great week celebrating holy week with all the child appropriate activities leading up to our Easter Celebration. The kindergarten enjoyed opening resurrection eggs which teach 12 stories leading up to Jesus’ trial before his death on the cross and resurrection. We also made resurrection rolls which are a tasty treat with the surprise when the marshmallow melts and disappears just like Jesus rose from the dead. Preschool had snack all together similar to the last supper and created snacks that look like a tomb. One of our favorite things which is an annual tradition was hosting our Norwalk Catholic sixth grade as they presented the living stations. There is no better way to see and feel the stations of the cross than to watch our students act out those heartfelt moments Jesus encountered. It is great to hear our youngest flyers express how sad they are that these things happened to Jesus. My hope for you the coming days is you are able to enjoy time with your family and feel the joy this Easter.
Just a reminder, there will be no school on Friday, April 18th in observance of Good Friday. This is the start of our Easter break from school. Students return to class on Tuesday, April 22nd. I want to wish all of you a very safe, happy, and healthy Holy Triduum, Joyous Easter, and Spring Break. Enjoy this time with your family.
Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for kindergarten screening. Results of the screening have been sent home. If you have any questions or concerns about your results feel free to bring those questions to your spring conference or reach out to me to discuss.
Summer Clubhouse (Childcare): Are you looking for childcare over the summer? Norwalk Catholic is excited to once again offer Summer Childcare. The program will be located at our Early Childhood campus (77 State Street).
