Dear Norwalk Catholic Families and Faculty,
As we navigate Ohio’s winter weather, the safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority. At Norwalk Catholic, we recognize there is no adequate replacement for in-person instruction. We value every day of learning and are committed to providing a safe and productive environment for our school community.
As an Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Charted Non-public School, our “calamity days”—are not determined by a fixed number of days, but rather by the total number of instructional hours provided over the course of the school year. As such, we purposefully maximize instructional time throughout the school year to adequately prepare for unforeseen school closures. These built-in instructional hours help us preserve valuable in-person instructional time and minimize the need to utilize other methods such as on-line/remote learning or adding days to the school calendar.
From time to time when school is closed, certain courses and grade levels may send projects or tasks home to maintain the pace and rigor of student learning. If there is a need to make changes to our instructional planning to further maximize instruction, our priority is to make these changes within the hours of the regularly scheduled school day.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we work together to provide a safe, faith-filled, and academically excellent education for our students. We appreciate your partnership and flexibility throughout the school year.
Sincerely,
Martin Linder '99
President
Norwalk Catholic / St. Paul High School
This winter weather has surely kept us guessing lately. Even when we aren’t together in the classroom, our teachers and students do their very best to learn and grow every day. We treasure our time together, and we are so proud of all the hard work happening in our classrooms!
This week we are excited to celebrate Catholic Schools Week! Our faith is a big part of our school family, and we love celebrating what makes our school special. We look forward to praying, learning, and having fun together as we thank God for our wonderful school.
Catholic education is very special to me. I have spent my entire life with this community and feel very fortunate to raise my family in our faith. Our school is a place where everyone is welcome and where each child is respected and loved. We are thankful for all the families, teachers, and staff who help teach our children and share our faith every day.
So many great things are happening at Norwalk Catholic! Thank you for being part of our Flyer Family and for helping us spread the good news about our school. When we work together, we help our children grow in faith, kindness, and learning.

Last Friday, our 4-year-old preschool class welcomed fathers and grandfathers to campus for a special Father’s Day celebration. Students and their guests enjoyed a variety of fun, age-appropriate activities that allowed them to spend quality time together at school. We are grateful to all who took the time to join us and help make this a memorable and meaningful day for our students.
