President's Message:
Dear Norwalk Catholic Families,
At Norwalk Catholic, our school is more than buildings — it is home. It is where faith is nurtured, friendships grow, and students are formed with Gospel values. We are grateful that you have made Norwalk Catholic your family’s home, and we are excited to begin preparing for the 2026–2027 school year.
Registration for current families opened today, February 18. Registration is completed through FinalForms. When you log in to the FinalForms Parent Portal, simply click the large blue button at the top of the page to begin your 2026–2027 registration.
EdChoice renewal is also now open for the 2026–2027 school year. Please download the renewal application and return it to [email protected] along with a current utility bill. The utility bill must show a matching service and mailing address. Please note that EdChoice does not accept digital signatures — applications must be printed and signed.
If you have a child entering Kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year, please contact Julie Grine at [email protected] to receive the new applicant EdChoice application.
Thank you for continuing to choose Norwalk Catholic as your family’s faith-based educational home. If you need any assistance with registration, please contact Julie Grine or call the Advancement Office at 419-668-7223. With gratitude, Martin Linder
Director Update:
Have you heard the news? Norwalk Catholic and St. Paul High School registration is underway. If you or someone you know has not received the information please contact any of the schools to arrange for information to be shared with them or follow this link to get registered through the Final Forms parent portal. Looking ahead we will be conducting kindergarten screening. Only those students who are completely registered will receive information about having their child screened for kindergarten. If you have registered already and need to pay the registration fee feel free to contact Julie Grine at 93 E. Main Street Norwalk. Thank you for continuing to choose Norwalk Catholic as a faith based educational partner for your family.
Today marks the beginning of Lent. Our kindergarteners had the opportunity to attend the All School Mass at St. Paul and receive ashes. We were also very fortunate to have Deacon Mike Claar at St. Mary's parish who offered a prayer service so our preschool students could receive ashes. Ash Wednesday is always 46 days before Easter Sunday. Lent is traditionally a 40-day fast as a reference to the time Jesus spent being tempted in the desert. This seeks to prepare our hearts as believers for the solemn remembrance of Jesus’ death. Common practices during Lent are fasting and almsgiving as a way to show love for God and others by making small sacrifices. Fasting means giving up a treat (like candy) to remember Jesus, while almsgiving means giving money, items, or time to help people in need. These practices, alongside prayer, help kids focus on kindness and gratitude.
Tomorrow and Friday we are very fortunate to have Mrs. Amanda Siddell from Family Dentistry of Sandusky here to present to the students all about healthy eating and how to properly take care of our teeth. We are so lucky to have her here to help us learn.
With the various cold and flu symptoms running through our families please consider keeping your child home if they do not look or feel well. A reminder also that your child has to be symptom-free & fever-free for 24 hours without medication before they may return to school.
Rare Disease Day:
Just a reminder next Friday, help us celebrate Rare Disease Day on February 28th by wearing green, pink, blue or zebra print! Rare Disease Day uses the symbol of a zebra, as no two zebras have the same pattern of stripes.
Hazel Miller, a current kindergarten student was born with an ultra-rare genetic disorder that causes her to have low muscle tone. This is most easily noticed by the position of her head and some challenges with movement. We celebrate this day to recognize the creativity that God has when designing each one of his children!
God Bless, Gail Reynolds Director Norwalk Catholic Early Childhood
