Meet our Newest Flyer: Mr. Elliott

Norwalk Catholic is excited to welcome Mr. Elliot to the school community as its new band teacher for grades 5, 6, and 7! Mr. Elliot previously taught and worked at St. Vincent de Paul Church/School in Indiana. After spending time serving the parish community, he realized how much he missed teaching and is excited to return to the classroom at his “next door neighbor,” Norwalk Catholic.

Mr. Elliot loves getting to know each student’s personality and watching them achieve things they never thought they could. One of his favorite teaching memories is surprising a principal with a special Happy Birthday song. This year, he is especially excited to work with students and introduce them to their “new friends”—band instruments!

Outside of school, Mr. Elliot enjoys reading and learning new instruments and hands-on skills. Some of his favorite books include Padre Pio the Stigmatist and Did Jesus Have a Last Name?, while favorite movies include WALL-E, Up, The Prince of Egypt, and Rudy.

Students may be surprised to learn that Mr. Elliot has three younger siblings, all of whom are now adults! And the one thing he always keeps in his classroom? His pencil—“no joke.” Norwalk Catholic is thrilled to welcome Mr. Elliot and looks forward to the music and enthusiasm he will bring to our students this year.
