Norwalk Catholic / St. Paul High School is excited to welcome Mrs. Barnes to the Flyer family as our newest JH/HS mathematics teacher.
With more than 36 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Barnes brings a passion for helping students build confidence, discover their potential, and develop a love for learning. Inspired by her mother, a former elementary school teacher, Mrs. Barnes developed a lifelong appreciation for education at an early age. Throughout her career, she has taught in a variety of settings, most recently at Euclid High School. She also spent five years as a traveling teacher for the visually impaired, gaining valuable experience working with diverse learners.
Mrs. Barnes says she was drawn to Norwalk Catholic through what she describes as "little divine pointers," including seeing former colleagues already serving on the faculty. She is excited to join the faith-filled Flyer community and continue helping students experience those rewarding "Aha!" moments that build confidence in mathematics. Outside the classroom, Mrs. Barnes enjoys road trips with her husband, James, knitting, and crocheting. Married for nearly 34 years, they have two sons.
We are grateful for the knowledge, experience, and dedication she brings to the classroom. We are thrilled to have Mrs. Barnes here at Norwalk Catholic / St. Paul High School. Let’s Go Flyers!
