Norwalk Catholic celebrated Rock Your Socks Day on Friday, joining people around the world in recognizing World Down Syndrome Day on March 21. The entire school wore brightly colored, mismatched socks to show their support and celebrate the beauty of our differences.
The day was especially meaningful in second grade as they honored Jaxen Collins. The class enjoyed applesauce, Jaxen’s favorite snack, and spent time reading Different A Great Thing to Be! The story highlights the importance of kindness, inclusion, and embracing what makes each of us unique.
