Joy and Kindness
Last week's Faithful Flyer was nominated for Joy and Kindness. This year, the 3rd grade classes completed a project in which they visited two local parks and wrote to Mayor Light about how these parks could be improved to be more inclusive and safer. This student's writing was chosen as one of the top in the class, and he was invited to read his paper to Mayor Light. After his visit with the Mayor, and his project was complete, this Faithful Flyer decided to take his project a step further. He chose to spend his own time on the weekends selling homemade products to collect money to donate to the City of Norwalk to help with playground improvements. This student thinks outside of the box and goes out of his way to help others and make ideas and dreams come true. He is always helping others instead of thinking about himself.
