With that spirit in mind, the school is pleased to share two exciting updates as we look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year.
The 2026-2027 School Year Calendar Has Been Officially Approved
Following the Governing Board approval last week, the 2026-2027 school year calendar is now official. Families are encouraged to mark these key dates:
- First Day of School: August 26, 2026
- Thanksgiving Break: November 25-27, 2026
- Christmas Break: December 21 – January 1, 2027
- Spring Break: March 29-31 & April 1-2, 2027
- Last Day of School: June 3, 2027
- Graduation: May 30, 2027

New Early Childhood & Elementary Start Times — More Time, More Mission
One of the great privileges of a Catholic school is that faith is not simply a subject, but it is woven into every moment of the day. Prayer, reflection, service, and Gospel values live inside the classroom, in the hallways, and on the playground. With that in mind, the Governing Board has also approved updated start times for Early Childhood and Elementary students beginning in the 2026-2027 School Year.
These earlier start times are not merely a logistical adjustment, they represent a meaningful investment in each child. The additional instructional time supports teachers in integrating faith with learning, creating even greater opportunities for faith reflection, service-oriented projects, and the kind of unhurried, intentional formation that sets a Catholic education apart.
New Start Times Beginning for the 2026-2027 School Year:
- Elementary: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM
- Kindergarten: 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM
- Morning Preschool: 8:30 AM – 11:25 AM
- Afternoon Preschool: 12:20 PM – 3:15 PM
Norwalk Catholic recognizes that changes to the morning routine take adjustment, and the school is grateful for the trust and flexibility families have in our school.
Registration Is Now Open
Registration for the 2026-2027 School Year is now open. Early registration is strongly encouraged, as it allows the school to plan thoughtfully for staffing and resources, ensuring that every child receives the care and attention they deserve from day one.
