Prepositions Take Flight in 8th Grade

8th graders had a blast sending their paper airplanes soaring around the classroom while learning about prepositions. After each of five flights, students wrote a prepositional phrase to describe exactly where their plane landed. Some memorable answers included “in my classmate’s hair,” “on Mrs. L.’s desk,” “in the recycle bin,” “on my classmate’s back,” and “into the back of Mrs. Livengood’s head” (accidentally, of course!).  True Flyers at heart!
