Our mission team is on our way back home. We are forever changed by our experiences in Belize. The bond between our school and St. Oscar Romero Roman Catholic School has grown stronger. Between the retreats led by our students, the virtual connections back with Norwalk Catholic students, the Holy Hour with Adoration and a Communion Service with the people of the Valley of Peace, the Holy Spirit worked in and through everyone involved.
A special thank you to:
Our students that chose to enter fully into this mission trip.
The adult chaperones who led our group and facilitated the experience.
Sara Fitzgerald, our Campus Minister, who worked with our students for months to ensure we had all the resources and planning necessary to provide a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
Dr. Jeremy Marinis, the Head of School from Calvert Catholic Schools for exploring the possibility of joining our school in our missionary support of St. Oscar Romero Roman Catholic.
David Wallace for connecting us with the Word at Work organization that provided the necessary resources and connections in Belize to make the mission a reality. The team especially would like to thank our right hand man, Chepito Valencia. And, Katie Howell for providing guidance to the team as a veteran of Belize mission work, as well as her expertise as a Nurse Practitioner.
This mission trip is made possible due to the generosity of the GeoTrac foundation, Norwalk Kiwanis, the Fr. Tony Borgia family and the students on this trip.
