Model UN Attends Cleveland Council for World Affairs Conference

The St. Paul High School Model UN recently participated in the Cleveland Council for World Affairs Winter Model UN Conference at Lorain Community College.  Over 200 students from around the Cleveland area participated in this conference.  Students were given topics, such as space tourism, women's pay equity, renewable energy, use of atomic energy and developed solutions for challenges raised by these issues.  Students were placed in committees and used the skills of debate and compromise to pass resolutions to solve these problems.

During this conference Sophomore Henry Palau was named Outstanding Delegate for his work in the International Atomic Energy Agency.  Other students involved in this conference included Aubrie Bogard, Vincent Caizzo, Abel Couch, River Couch, Lucy Dolce, Eleanor Fries, Chloe Hazelwood, Charlotte Hosack, Finley Hosack, Wyatt Houser, Ella Kalizewski, Jacob Penwell, Noelle Perani, Rocco Rizzo, Adeline Rospert, Chai Ruffing, Clover Ruffing, Tristan Schlachter, Amelia Taggart, Katherine Ware and Brandt Weaver.
