The Everyday Law class had an outstanding educational experience during its visit to the Norwalk Police Department. Students were able to explore how law enforcement operates on a daily basis, gaining first hand insight into the responsibilities, procedures, and challenges officers face in serving and protecting the community.
During the visit, students toured key areas of the department, learned about investigative tools and technology, and asked thoughtful questions about policing, community safety, and the legal system. The experience helped connect classroom learning to real-world application, strengthening students’ understanding of how the justice system functions at the local level.
A special thank-you goes to Chief Dahlgren and Captain Daniels for taking time out of their busy schedules to meet with the class. Their professionalism, openness, and dedication to educating young people made the visit meaningful and engaging. Their willingness to share their experiences and answer student questions provided invaluable learning moments and helped deepen students’ appreciation for the role law enforcement plays in our community.
The class is grateful for the hospitality of the Norwalk Police Department.
