Last Tuesday, Mr. Conley’s Horticulture and Environmental Science classes braved the cold for a field trip to the Toledo Zoo. Students experienced firsthand how horticulturists select, group, and maintain plant species to create habitats that mimic natural ecosystems. They also explored exhibits featuring endangered animals, gaining a deeper understanding of how conservation efforts protect biodiversity and promote sustainability. The trip provided a meaningful connection between classroom lessons and real-world environmental stewardship.
