Elementary Elects 2025-26 Student Body Leaders

For the past five weeks, the sixth grade has been learning about the election process in social studies. Each homeroom “political party” began with several candidates, and each student running wrote a speech explaining why they would be the best choice to represent their party. After primary elections within the homerooms, students formed committees to advertise, campaign, and budget for their finalists. This year’s candidates were Tyler Heydinger of the Papa Prenatts Party and Ezekiel (Zeke) Gwinn of the Workman Waffle Party.

Heydinger and Gwinn faced off in a school-wide debate on October 29. Following an impressive amount of preparation and hard work from the entire sixth grade, students in grades 1–6 cast their ballots on Election Day, electing Tyler Heydinger as the next Student Body President. Zeke Gwinn will serve alongside him as Student Body Vice President. Gabriel Rizzo and William Leto will support the team as advisors.

Congratulations to all involved!
