Please join us in welcoming back a familiar face to the Norwalk Catholic family! We're excited to re-introduce Darren Conley as a new High School Science Teacher.
Mr. Conley’s passion for teaching was sparked by a caring 6th grade teacher and later solidified when, after graduating with honors from his technical training course in the U.S. Air Force, he was asked to stay and teach it at Chanute AFB. From that moment, he knew education was his calling.
He’s thrilled to bring his love of science into the classroom at St. Paul HS—something he’s long looked forward to. One of his most powerful teaching moments? Getting to pray with his students for the first time after 35 years in public education—an experience that reaffirmed his faith and passion for Catholic education.
A longtime football player and coach, Mr. Conley had known of St. Paul for decades. When Mr. Linder extended the invitation to join the Flyer family, he knew it was the right move—and we’re so glad he did!
Outside the classroom, he’s a talented artist, a plant grower, and even a pickle and salsa canner! And here’s a fun fact—his Uncle Al trained Able and Baker, the first monkeys NASA sent into space. With coffee in hand and early-bird energy, Mr. Conley is ready to dive into a new school year filled with science, faith, and community. Oh, and did we mention he and his wife (Mrs. Conley, Elementary Intervention Specialist) will be first-time grandparents this October? Congratulations to his son Brad, daughter-in-law, and the entire Conley family!
Welcome back to Norwalk Catholic, Mr. Conley! We're so blessed to have you in our school family. Let’s Go Flyers!
