Welcome New Flyer, Mrs. Dowdell

Please join us in welcoming a new face to the Norwalk Catholic family! We're excited to introduce Kylie Dowdell as our new School Counselor.

With a background in clinical mental health counseling, Mrs. Dowdell was drawn to the opportunity to serve our school. Before joining our team, she worked at Riveon Mental Health and Recovery as an abuse advocate and counseling intern.

Her connection to the Flyer family runs deep—her husband, John Dowdell, is a St. Paul graduate Class of 2017 who first introduced her to the warmth and spirit of this community when they moved here after getting married. That same sense of faith, support, and connection reminded her of the school and church community she cherished growing up.

For Mrs. Dowdell, the most fulfilling part of working in a school is the chance to build meaningful relationships and be a positive influence in students’ lives. She’s especially excited to meet all of the students this year and connect with their families and teachers.

Outside of school, Mrs. Dowdell enjoys playing cards with her family, taking walks on the farm, and caring for her two dogs—Boone and Crockett—and a lively group of chickens. She prefers tea over coffee (though coffee became a necessity after her son Dean was born), and has a surprising favorite animal: the manatee.

Welcome to Norwalk Catholic, Mrs. Dowdell! We're so blessed to have you as part of our school family. Let’s Go Flyers!
