SPTV Oscars

hello hello and welcome to the sptv Oscars I know the lunchtime goes quickly so I won't waste too much time here in the beginning and I'll try to talk quickly just know this is going to be a little different from a normal spt you episode since I'm also their live in the cafeteria somewhere and we will be pausing the video when the winner of each category is announced so they can come up and get their Oscar that out of the way let's start with the Deep dive when we added the Deep dive to the lineup and combined the separate Sports highlight and sports interview segments to make space for something else there was a bit of confusion at first about what exactly it would entail this unfortunately the video is meant to highlight something about the school that makes it special it shows what's going on in the classroom what the extracurriculars are up to Etc everyone would approach this in their own unique style and we maintain that every attempt has been a good 1 but you voted and you decided that the winner for the best deep dive is Owen Tinky and Fletcher Ross for their big fish promotional interviews everyone give them a hand you 2 find me wherever I'm standing or sitting grab it Oscar next up we've got staff and student profile the staff and student profile is pretty self-explanatory it's the segment of the show where we talk about the amazing staff and students that we have here and we get to know them or what they do there's been plenty of good ones but the 1 you voted was the best ones Isaac cook for his interview with Mr Futrell everyone give him a hand come on up Isaac next up we have the best guest appearance from a student whether we need someone that's a good fit because of a certain height or maybe a grade level we've had a good number of people that came and assisted with filming throughout the year they've all been a great help and I'd like to thank them for sacrificing their time and the winner of the best guest appearance from a student and our only Junior High winner so high schoolers stay seated is Franklin Wright everyone give him a hand next up is 1 of the most contested categories the best guest appearance from a staff member throughout the year we've had plenty of appearances from the staff from doing voiceovers playing various characters or just making a cameo we'd like to thank you for sacrificing your time throughout your busy day and being flexible to be a part of our Shenanigans this was a very closed category as they've all got quite a lot of star power but remaining Supreme the 1 the only this is Nikolai she's busy at the moment so I filmed this portion with her beforehand I'm here with Mrs Nikolai Mrs Nikolai did you know we were doing an Oscars vote I saw that on my email were you aware that you were on the ballot know I really wasn't I I did not vote I actually was very busy with my grades and everything so I didn't vote and I didn't pay attention well as it turns out you actually won I know I know so we would like to present you with this wait I love it thank you you beat out the nearest competition by 10 votes they were tied for second place it was Mr Conley and Mr fair oh oh that's a wonderful competition I'm so glad I beat them out is there anything you'd like to say you know what I'm so excited that I beat Matt Fair it's something great like this Matt Fair what do you think and um Mr connley too but I'm so excited for the kids and the pro programs they put on so thank you and keep up the good work thank you for always giving us your time and for being a part of it back to it next up we've got the best sports reporting now this may be hard to believe but I'm not a big Sports guy so this segment was always difficult for me to offer much hopefully however we were fortunate to get a good number of athletes in the class who over time wanted to do more with the segment than just interview after interview there was a lot of good sports coverage in montages over the year but the winner for the best sports reporting is it's Corey frzy come on up everyone give him a hand next up we've got best attempt at a game show now if you ask Fletcher Roth or some of the other media students they'll say that the unofficial rule is that game shows are banned on sptv as we've done very few of them and 1 of them at the beginning of the year maybe some of you know it flopped so hard we scrapped the thing altogether so when someone decides to do 1 they tread lightly and carefully however I would argue the 3 nominees they all did a really good job but only 1 can win and the winner voted by you is it's Fletcher Ross Sarah gossip come on up we're on to our 3 final categories now best director writer of an original segment there have been a lot of really creative ideas on sbtv some more parodies some were completely original Concepts some were kind of a mixture of the 2 I've been blown away by the creativity of everyone in the class but winning the best director writer of an original segment with a super majority of 70% of the overall vote is it's Isaac Kook come on up Isaac on to the second to last category now best actor for actress in a supporting role this was once again an extremely tight Victory and was only swayed with the final vote seriously and the winner of the best actor or actress in a supporting role winning by 1 vote it's Brock Boris come on up Brock finally now on to our last category the 3 leads for our leads I want to take a moment to say something about each of them before they come up so please hold your applause until the end of my Spiel and winners wait until afterwards to come up and receive your reward I was going to do this live in the cafeteria however this way thanks to the of editing I don't have to worry about stumbling over my words which I would otherwise do but before I announce the winners I'd first like to address the class as a whole to get in front of a camera to give your whole self in a performance even just to be good Goofy and leave yourself open and vulnerable to judgment it takes guts it takes a lot of guts people can be mean and performance presentations it's the cause of a lot of anxiety for many the students in the multimedia class week after week put themselves out there so whether you won or not every 1 of you should be proud of yourselves for putting yourself out there for giving the people a show for not being afraid to fail and for letting your ideas and your very being be critiqued I'm proud of each of you I'm glad to have known each of you and you should all be proud of the material that you made over the course of this year so with out of the way let's announce our winners starting in third place we've got Nolan McCall Nolan is 1 who caught me by surprise he didn't take the class because it was something he loved you just needed to fill a slot and he heard it was fun however as time went on know phone would write and produce some of the best content he caught on to editing very quickly and he's got a great sense of humor congratulations Nolan come on up next in second place winning his third Oscar of the day it's Isaac Kook Isaac does it all whether it's filming editing directing writing anchoring we're acting he is 1 of the most talented people I've had the honor of knowing I don't know where the future will take him but I know that he will excel at whatever comes his way I'm so glad he decided to take this class it's been a blast to have him and he's going to be missed dearly come on up Isaac finally in first place with a staggering 47% of the overall vote you know him you certainly love him it's Owen Tinky when Owen has a role that he can have fun with where he can bring his unique sense of Comedy he puts his whole heart into it Owen appears to get a great sense of pride and personal fulfillment from making others laugh and smile it's 1 of my favorite things about it I'm glad he was able to entertain all of you throughout the year Owen come on up that's all thank you for watching it's been a great year we've made some great videos and hopefully some even better memories once again thank you to everyone who has been a part of sptv this year whether you were in the class or not hard work making a show every single week especially with other classes homework exams Sports and so much going on in your day-to-day to the seniors you'll be dearly missed to everyone else we hope to see you again or at the very least that you encourage your friends to try their hand at the class it's a fun way to learn the basics of video production editing script writing and even more see you next year
