The minimum requirements for most teaching positions are:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree unless noted
Practicing Catholic preferred: carry on the mission of
Christ’s churchHave the ability to obtain a Ohio Department of Education license/certification
Successfully pass the required FBI and law enforcement background checks and all requirements of the Toledo Diocese VIRTUS program prior to employment and maintain a satisfactory background check throughout employment
Maintain excellent classroom behavior management
Provide lesson plans weekly to building administrator
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
Provide exemplary communication skills to parents, staff, and stakeholders
Work well with fellow staff members in a professional learning community to ensure what is best for our students
Build positive, productive, professional, relationships with students
Have an understanding of technology pertinent to the classroom including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Smart Technologies, PowerSchool, and document cameras

Position: Clubhouse Childcare Staff

Job Objective: Serves as a Morning/Daytime/Evening Childcare provider for Norwalk Catholic.
Clubhouse Staff Job Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent
Prior training and/or experience in early childhood education or child development is strongly preferred
Plan appropriate activities designed to meet the needs and abilities of the children in the program
Provide the class with opportunities to work together to promote social growth
Encourage independence, self-confidence and positive self-image through a variety of activities
Select activities that provide for both quiet and active play
Provide an attractive, stimulating environment to learn and play
Provide a loving, caring, atmosphere
Ensure the safety of all children in your care
Carry out the schedule of the day
Observe student to adult ratios as stated by the Ohio Department of Education.
Observe the hours established by the Director of the Early Childhood Center and/or the Elementary Principal.
Post communication of activities and snacks in an agreed upon format for parents
Must be reliable, punctual, and adhere to NCS guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook and be available during Elementary Clubhouse
operating hours: 6am -9am and 2:30pm-6:30pm Monday - Friday. Preschool Clubhouse operating hours are 6am - 6:30 pm, Monday - Friday and will vary based on scheduling needs
